How it works

    Create an uploader

Choose the Drive folder, the allowed file types and the look of the widget.

  2. 2

    Paste the embed code

Add the iFrame or JavaScript snippet to any page, from a plain HTML site to WordPress or a React app.

  3. 3

    Files arrive in Drive

Uploads land in your folder in full quality, and a webhook tells your app the moment they’re done.

Limits

DriveUploader sets no file size limit. The only limits are Google Drive’s own.

Hook uploads into your own workflow

JavaScript API and webhooks

Control the widget from your code with the JavaScript API, and get a webhook with every finished upload, including links to the files in Google Drive.

Trigger processing, update your database or notify your team.

One uploader for every customer

Create uploaders from your app

Create uploaders through the API instead of by hand, for example one for every customer, project or order in your app, each with its own Drive folder.

Set its Drive folder, file limits, notifications and webhook in the same API call. No clicking through the admin.

Frequently asked questions

It’s an embeddable file upload component for websites and apps. You paste one embed code into your page, your users drag and drop files of any size, and the files are saved straight to your Google Drive. You don’t need a server or storage of your own.

Create an uploader in DriveUploader, copy its embed code and paste it into your page. It works with plain HTML and with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Wix, Webflow and other site builders that accept an iFrame or a script.

Yes. Add the embed code to your component like any other embed, and use the JavaScript API’s callback to react to uploads in your app. The API docs describe the callback and its upload events.

DriveUploader doesn’t limit file size on any plan. Files only need to fit into your Google Drive storage; Google Drive accepts files up to 5 TB and up to 750 GB of uploads per account per day. Large files upload in parts and continue after a dropped connection.

No. Your users upload straight from your page without signing in to DriveUploader or Google. Only you connect a Google account.

Set a webhook URL, and DriveUploader sends a request to your server with every finished upload, including the file names and links to the files in Google Drive. With the JavaScript embed you can also react to upload events in the browser through a callback.

Yes, with the Pro plan. Create, edit, duplicate and delete uploaders from your app through the REST API, for example one for every customer, project or order, each with its own Google Drive folder, instead of setting them up by hand.

Upload services store files in their own cloud and usually charge for storage and bandwidth. DriveUploader saves every file to your own Google Drive, with no storage fees and no file size limit, so it suits teams that already work in Google Workspace.

You can start for free. Free uploaders stay open for 24 hours. Embedding the widget on your website and permanent uploaders come with plans from $5.99/month, billed yearly; the API, webhooks and custom forms come with the Pro plan.
